Music is Powerful

One of the things I like best about my book is the inclusion of a song for each day.

I tried to use a variety of Christian music so that at some point you would hear something that clicks with you. And yet, I think all the songs are great, and some of them are very unique. Some are new, but most are from more than 10 years ago.

I’ve always been amazed at the writing talents of songwriters, poets, and others. The imagination they use is beautiful and creative (we are made in the image of God).

Here’s just a few phrases from the songs:

“Across the street or around the world, the mission’s still the same”

“Like a screen door on a submarine”

“Help me want the Savior more than the saving”

“That was the end of the beginning”

I’m guessing you will know several of the songs. My hope is that many will be new to you and that you will take the time to listen to them. Even if you don’t like the style, I hope the lyrics or the idea of the song will help you see God in a fresh way.

Be intentional by listening to positive messages about the Lord, songs you can use to glorify God, or songs God can use to challenge or comfort you. When you get the book, don’t pass over the music!
